VULNAMIN GEL
Hydrogel adjuvant in the healing process.
It is an invasive medical device manufactured in compliance with Directive 93/42/EEC MDD. It is intended to promote the restoration of the moist microenvironment in particularly dry wounds while assisting the cleansing and granulation phase of uncleansed skin lesions.
It is a hydrogel that can be used to hyperhydrate necrotic tissue and induce autolysis, while simultaneously stimulating granulation of the underlying vital tissue. It therefore facilitates cleansing of the wound bed covered with necrosis, fibrin and cellular debris, aiding the resumption of tissue repair.
Unlike many astringent substances that cause vasoconstriction, soaps that can generally cause edema or dehydration, or alcohol frictions that can cause damage by removing fats from the skin tissue, making the skin drier and more prone to cracking, Vulnamin Gel promotes the elimination of necrotic tissue and protects the integrity of the skin. Vulnamin Gel has no astringent or vasoconstrictor action, but promotes the lysis of necrotic tissue by promoting the granulation of the underlying vital tissues. Protect with a secondary dressing.
How to use
After cleaning the wound, apply an even layer over the entire wound area, staying within the wound edge.
The interval between dressing changes depends essentially on the state of the wound. The dressing change must be commensurate with the exudation of the wound; it is recommended to change it every other day or, at most, every three days.
Components
Purified water; sodium hyaluronate; glycine; L-proline; L-leucine; L-lysine HCl; methyl parahydroxybenzoate; propyl parahydroxybenzoate; propylene glycol.
Warnings
Wash your hands thoroughly before dressing. Remove any foreign material from the wound by spraying saline from the inside of the wound outwards. After thoroughly cleaning the area to be treated, gently dab the wound with gauze to remove excess blood. If the injury does not require further intervention, after cleaning the wound, apply Vulnamin Gel.
It is contraindicated in case of known hypersensitivity to the components. There are no known phenomena of overdose. There are no known side effects. There are no known interactions with drugs and medicinal substances. Although there are no known side effects in case of pregnancy and breastfeeding it is advisable to carry out the application only according to the doctor's judgment.
Vulnamin Gel is a product characterized by good tolerability; occasionally burning sensations may occur, due to the hypertonicity of the product that characterizes its effectiveness in cleansing. This sensation tends to resolve spontaneously. The application of the gel may give rise to maceration of the perilesional skin, this is a harmless event that resolves spontaneously by airing the area for a few minutes.
The expiry date refers to the closed and correctly stored product. Do not use after the expiry date. Do not sterilize. Product intended for external use. Do not use if the package is open or damaged. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the components. The use of desiccant materials in combination with Vulnamin Gel is not recommended. In case of reactions, local signs of infection (edema, erythema, secretion, color, pain) suspend treatment and consult your doctor. Carefully close the tube after use. Keep out of reach of children.
Conservation
Vulnamin Gel should be stored at a temperature between 8°C and 30°C. Do not store in the refrigerator. Store in a cool, dry place, away from humidity and heat sources.
