Hemostatic Barrier Ointment
Description
Emofix is a barrier-action haemostatic ointment indicated for the containment and prevention of haemorrhagic episodes of the skin and mucous membranes such as, for example: nosebleeds of even mild essential or traumatic origin, small skin wounds.
Composition
Blend of saturated fatty acids, yeast protein extract, phosphatidylcholine, vitamin E acetate, beeswax, soybean oil, stearyl alcohol, calcium, potassium and magnesium chlorides, glyceryl monostearate, methyl and propyl parahydroxybenzoate, BHT.
How to use
Containment of the bleeding episode: apply a sufficient amount of ointment to cover the affected area.
Prevention of recurrence of nosebleeds: apply the product twice daily for at least two weeks after the acute episode, or according to medical advice.
If the product needs to be applied to the nasal mucosa, we recommend using the applicator cannula, included in the package.
Clean the cannula thoroughly after each application and avoid shared use.
Warnings
Do not use the product in case of known hypersensitivity to the components of the product.
In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use of the product and consult your doctor.
During the first few days of treatment, burning, nasal itching and rhinorrhea may occur, which normally tend to disappear as therapy continues. If this does not occur, discontinue use of the product and consult your doctor.
Do not use the product if the packaging is not intact.
Do not use this product after the expiry date printed on the package.
Keep Emofix out of the sight and reach of children.
Conservation
The expiry date indicated refers to the product in intact packaging, correctly stored.
Close the tube tightly after use.
It is preferable to store the product at room temperature and in any case not higher than 30°C. In case of exposure to temperatures other than those indicated, the product may undergo variations in compactness, without any deterioration in quality. It is sufficient to keep Emofix at room temperature for it to regain its original consistency.
