Stopper
Medical device CE 0426, class IIa. Stopper is effectively used in cases of accelerated intestinal transit (acute and chronic diarrhea), in the presence of ileostomy or ileoanal anastomosis or in the outcomes of digestive system surgery, including obesity surgery, in cases of diarrheal stool from irritable bowel, in cases of "traveler's diarrhea" or to improve fecal continence in the presence of fluid stool. 1 sachet: 3.00 g of Diosmectite.
How to use
The quantity of Stopper to be taken daily is variable and depends on the individual conditions of the Patient and/or the opinion of the Doctor. Indicatively:
- in acute diarrhea, 1-2 sachets after each discharge;
- in fecal incontinence and chronic diarrhea, 1 to 3 sachets per day, starting with 1 sachet and gradually increasing the ration, to prevent an unbalanced increase in fecal consistency.
The product is in oral suspension, already dosed, and can therefore be taken as is or diluted in the same quantity of water.
Intake in childhood:
- children over 6 years of age: 2 - 3 sachets per day;
- children over 1 year of age: 1 - 2 sachets per day.
Interactions
Cardiac glycosides, alkaloids, estrogens, chloroquine, clindamycin, digoxin, lincomycin.
Warnings
Take the product at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after medications, especially during therapy with the above-mentioned medications. If the symptom does not regress, consult your doctor.
Side effects
Constipation.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Only if necessary and after consulting your doctor.
Diabetic people
Admitted.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Diosmectite. Diarrhea secondary to pseudomembranous enterocolitis and in general to serious organic pathologies affecting the gastrointestinal tract.
