Description
Eutuss is a non-sterile medical device indicated for aerosol therapy.
Eutuss is indicated in pediatric patients to promote the elimination of excess mucus. It allows the attenuation of symptoms related to irritation and inflammation in upper and lower respiratory tract diseases, even when accompanied by cough, and typical cold symptoms such as nasal congestion and irritation of the nasal mucosa even in cases of allergic rhinitis or sinusitis. It promotes the fluidification of secretion, facilitating breathing.
How to use
The contents of a 5 ml vial allow for 2 daily treatments.
Inhalation of the solution can be performed with a nebulizer, using a mask, actuator or nasal cannula, following the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer of the nebulizer.
-Detach a vial of Eutuss from the strip of 5 vials in the package.
-Shake the vial to promote the homogeneity of the solution.
-Open the vial by turning the cap, do not throw away the cap because it is needed to close the vial.
-Use half the contents of the vial for a single treatment, pouring the solution into the nebulizer up to the mark on the vial.
-Inhale the nebulized solution according to the instructions for use provided by the nebulizer manufacturer, for a duration of 10 minutes.
-Reseal the vial with the cap. The remaining solution must be stored in the refrigerator and used for the possible second daily treatment within and no later than 12 hours from the first opening.
Caution : At the end of the treatment, a white residue may be noted in the nebulizer ampoule that no longer has any active function. It must be removed from the nebulizer according to the cleaning operations provided in the instructions for use of the nebulizer manufacturer.
Components
Sodium chloride 0.9%, pinus mugo essential oil, lavender essential oil, helichrysum essential oil, lavandin essential oil, vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, polysorbate 20, water.
Warnings
The solution is intended for inhalation use only. It is not intended for oral use. Not for injection.
-Before use, check the expiration date indicated on the package. Do not use after the expiration date.
-Do not use if package is opened or damaged.
-The product not used immediately after first opening must be stored in the refrigerator and used within 12 hours.
-Do not freeze.
-Keep out of sight and reach of children under three years. The product contains small parts that can cause choking.
-Treatments must be performed under the supervision of an adult.
-Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more components contained in the solution.
-Patients with a tendency to shortness of breath or hypersensitivity should use Eutuss only under medical prescription.
-Do not use, unless advised by a doctor, on children under 2 years of age, as in this age group the physiological characteristics of the respiratory tract lead to a limited capacity for draining bronchial mucus.
-Do not dilute the solution and do not use the product in combination with other products because it could alter their action.
Side effects
Allergic reactions are possible in people with intolerance to one or more components contained in the solution.
During inhalation of the isotonic solution, in very sensitive patients suffering from bronchial asthma or bronchial hyperreactivity, a reversible contraction of the bronchi may occur. In these cases, discontinue therapy and contact your doctor or pharmacist.
It is important to report any side effects to your doctor, pharmacist or the company.
Conservation
Store at room temperature, away from direct light and heat sources, inside the properly closed package.
Validity for intact package : 30 months.
