Description
RODIUM CT
Description
Rodenticide.
Ready-to-use paste bait.
How to use
One to three applications in 10 days.
If more than one bait station is required, the minimum distance between bait stations must be 5 metres.
1) Before use, read and observe the product information, any information enclosed with the product or provided at the point of sale.
2) Before using rodenticides, non-chemical control methods should be considered. In particular, for the control of occasional voles and rats, the use of traps should be considered. The use of biocides is the last choice for the control of these animals and should always be kept to a minimum.
3) Preferred locations of rodent activity (pathways, nesting sites, feeders) in and around buildings should be determined, for example, by placing small amounts of poison-free baits, such as oat flakes. Gnawing marks and droppings are also indicative of rodent activity. Keep in mind that poison-free baits should be removed before the actual rodent control measure.
4) Remove any food that is easily accessible to rodents (e.g. spilled grain or food scraps). Regardless of the above, do not clear the infested area immediately prior to treatment as this will only disturb the rodent population and make it more difficult for them to accept the bait.
5) Bait stations should be placed in locations where rodent activity has been observed (e.g. passageways, nesting sites, feeders, etc.).
6) Where possible, bait stations should be fixed to the floor or other structures.
7) Do not open tea bags containing the bait.
8) Place bait stations out of reach of children, birds, pets, livestock and other non-target animals.
9) Place bait stations away from food, drinks, animal feed, utensils or surfaces they come into contact with.
10) Do not place bait stations near water drainage systems where they may come into contact with water.
11) Do not eat, drink or smoke while using the product. After using the product, wash your hands and directly exposed skin.
12) Before rodent control measures, all users of establishments, buildings and surrounding areas where baits will be placed must be informed of the risks to humans, domestic animals and wildlife. They must also be informed of the measures to be taken in the event of poisoning, spillage of bait or discovery of dead rodents (according to the product label).
13) The campaign must end with no further bait consumption.
14) Remove any remaining bait and bait stations at the end of the treatment period.
15) Undamaged bait stations can be reused.
16) To avoid reinfestation after a successful control operation, adopt the following measures:
- remove or cover food and water sources (food, garbage, etc.).
- remove debris and waste that could be used as hiding places. Vegetation in the immediate vicinity of buildings should be removed where necessary.
- to the extent possible, make any access points to buildings (e.g. cracks, loopholes, cat passages, drains) inaccessible to rats.
17) Place bait stations in areas not subject to flooding.
18) Replace bait in bait stations if it has been damaged by water or contaminated by dirt.
19) Bait stations should be checked only 5-7 days after the start of treatment and at least once a week thereafter, to verify whether the bait has been accepted, whether the bait stations are intact and to remove rodent bodies. Provide new bait when necessary.
Warnings
1) Keep out of reach of children.
2) Do not use anticoagulant rodenticides as permanent baits (e.g. for the prevention of rodent infestation or to detect rodent activity).
3) The product information (e.g. the label and/or the package leaflet) must clearly show that:
- the product must be used in suitable tamper-proof bait stations (e.g. "use only in tamper-proof bait stations").
- users must appropriately label the bait stations with the information indicated in section 5.3 of the supplementary protection certificate (e.g. "bait stations labelled according to product recommendations").
4) Bait stations must be used. Baits must be secured inside the bait stations to prevent rodents from carrying the bait, unless this is not possible due to the bait formulation or the design of the bait station. Placing bait without bait stations poses a high risk of poisoning to humans, domestic animals and wildlife.
5) Use of this product should eliminate rodents within 35 days. The product information (e.g. label and/or leaflet) should clearly recommend that if there is a suspicion of lack of efficacy at the end of treatment (i.e. if rodent activity is still observed), the user should consult the supplier of the product or contact a pest control service.
6) During the treatment, look for dead rodents and remove them, at least every time you inspect the bait stations.
7) Dispose of dead rodents in municipal waste or at a processing plant. Avoid direct contact.
8) Do not apply the product directly into the burrows.
9) Place the product away from food, drinks, animal feed, utensils or surfaces with which they come into contact.
- This product contains an anticoagulant. If swallowed, potentially delayed symptoms may include bleeding from the nose and gums. In severe cases, bruising and blood in the stool or urine may occur.
