Revamil Collagen is indicated for the treatment of various types of wounds, including delayed healing ulcers, infected wounds, venous ulcers and diabetic wounds, bedsores, oncological wounds, 1st and 2nd degree burns, wounds resulting from vascular reconstruction surgeries, vascular surgeries, carotid surgeries, abdominal surgeries, gynecological surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, trauma and dental treatments, as well as a stimulant in the physiological process of wound healing.
Revamil Collagen can also be used as a local haemostatic and as a first aid resource in case of capillary haemorrhage.
How to use
• First clean the wound by repeatedly dabbing with a gauze pad soaked in sterile saline. Then place the Revamil Collagen pad directly on the wound. If exudate is present, the pad can be moistened with sterile saline.
• Use one or more swabs, placing them side by side or slightly overlapping over the entire wound surface, so that each swab is in full contact with the wound surface. Secure the swab with sterile gauze or other non-occlusive secondary dressing (elastic, if necessary) or use an adhesive plaster. If exudate is present, a slightly absorbent secondary dressing may be used.
• It is recommended to change dressings every 3-4 days, or sooner, depending on the amount of exudate generated by the wound. If the swab comes into contact with the exudate, a gel is formed that adapts to the contours of the wound. The dressing gradually dissolves and is reabsorbed by the body.
• If Revamil Collagen is used to treat ulcers and the product has adhered to the wound bed, it should not be removed or loosened when monitoring the wound. The dressing will gradually be reabsorbed by the body.
• If Revamil Collagen is used as a haemostatic dressing and there is no assurance that the dressing has been applied in an aseptic environment, the swab should be removed after haemostasis.
