Food supplement based on branched chain amino acids in a 4:1:1 ratio with vitamin B6, which helps support regular energy, protein and glycogen metabolism and acetylcarnitine.
BCAAs (branched chain amino acids) are made up of: leucine, valine and isoleucine.
When we talk about BCAAs with a ratio of 2:1:1 or 4:1:1 we are indicating that the ratio of leucine present is in greater quantity than that of the other two branched chain amino acids.
Leucine is the amino acid that intervenes in protein synthesis and therefore in recovery both during sports and in case of lack of intake with the diet.
Leucine is important for building and maintaining muscle tissue. It promotes protein synthesis in muscles and liver, slows the breakdown of muscle proteins and promotes regeneration processes.
While valine and isoleucine have a purely energetic function.
The most common BCAAs are those with a 2:1:1 ratio, but several studies have shown that by slightly increasing the doses of Leucine, the effects mentioned were felt more by athletes. Therefore, greater protein synthesis, less muscle catabolism and greater recovery.
