Dual Act
Description
Chronic pelvic pain associated with numerous pelvic area pathologies (endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, recurrent cystitis, chronic prostatitis, irritable bowel syndrome, etc.) is a nosological entity with dual localization, resulting from neuro-inflammation phenomena sustained by non-neuronal cells (mast cells, microglia). The tissue localization, linked to peripheral sensitization of the sensory endings of nerves that co-innervate different pelvic organs, determines the amount of diffuse inflammatory pain and the associated oxidative stress. The spinal localization, linked instead to central sensitization arising due to the chronicity of the peripheral neuro-inflammatory phenomenon, determines and sustains the amount of neuropathic pain that amplifies the painful sensation felt by the patient.
Pelvilen Dual Act is able to effectively intervene on both components of pain (mixed pain) through a synergistic and synchronous regulatory effect exerted by palmitoylethanolamide in its two forms, micronized and ultra-micronized. The simultaneous presence of polydatin, a polyphenol with high antioxidant activity, allows the control of oxidative stress associated with neuro-inflammation in pelvic tissues.
Ingredients
Palmitoylethanolamide-polydatin co-micronized (particle size 2.0-10.0 micron), ultra micronized palmitoylethanolamide (particle size 0.8-6.0 micron); emulsifiers: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium salts of fatty acids, vegetable polysorbate, E1521; stabilizers: croscarmellose sodium, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinylalcohol; anti-caking agents: silicon dioxide, talc; colorants: E132, E171, E172.
Gluten free.
