Description
Powdered food for special medical purposes, with a thickened formula specifically designed to meet the nutritional needs of children from 0 to 36 months in case of gastroesophageal reflux. Novalac Reflux PRO contains an exclusive blend of thickeners that combines the qualities of starch and dietary fiber and that allows to minimize regurgitation. The source of Novalac Reflux PRO proteins is from cow's milk proteins. In case of allergies, premature birth, low birth weight or immunodeficiency, seek medical advice. IMPORTANT: Novalac Reflux PRO can be the sole source of nutrition for the child up to the age of 6 months if breastfeeding is not possible. Afterwards, and on the advice of the doctor, Novalac Reflux PRO will be integrated into the diversified diet of the child. Novalac Reflux PRO must be used under medical supervision and only in infants who present the symptoms for which the product is indicated. The formula must not be changed without consulting the doctor.
Breast milk is the best food for infants. If breast milk is not available or is not sufficient, infant formula may be used only under medical advice. Improper preparation and storage of any infant formula may cause health hazards.

How to use
Always wash your hands before preparing the bottle.
1. Clean and sterilize the bottle, teat and all materials used.
2. Bring the water to the boil for 5 minutes and leave to cool until it reaches a temperature of 40°C, or heat oligomineral water (from a recently opened bottle) up to 40°C.
3. Pour the necessary amount of water into the bottle.
4. Add the correct amount of Novalac powder using the measuring cup included in the package. Level each measuring cup with a clean, dry knife without pressing the powder.
5. Close the bottle using the hard plastic cap and shake until the powder has completely dissolved, avoiding the formation of lumps. Remove the cap and apply the sterilized teat to the bottle.
6. Allow to cool to 37°C. Check the temperature of the bottle by placing a drop of the product on your wrist. Use immediately.

Reconstitution (13%): 1 level, unpressed scoop (4.3 g) per 30 ml of water. Use only the scoop provided with the product.
The number of meals should be adapted to the infant's appetite on the advice of the doctor.
Warnings
Do not prepare the bottle in advance, but always just before the meal.
Each meal should be consumed within one hour of preparation.
The product should not be reused when it remains in the bottle after feeding. Throw away the remaining quantity.
Given its particular composition, during preparation, it may be necessary to shake the bottle more than when preparing a classic formula, to obtain complete dissolution of Novalac Reflux PRO.
The appearance of Novalac Reflux PRO in the bottle may be different from that of a classic formula and the use of a specific teat may be necessary.
The thickened formula of Novalac Reflux PRO may naturally contain small dark particles of vegetal origin (carob seed flour) and/or some white agglomerates of dietary fiber. This does not cause discomfort in the child.
Do not use the bottle as a pacifier.
Do not add sugar.
The product is not suitable for parenteral or enteral feeding.
Conservation
Do not use after the date indicated on the jar.
Validity with intact packaging: 24 months.
After opening, use the product within 3 weeks.
Close the jar after each use with the plastic lid.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and contamination.
Packaged in a protective atmosphere. The Novalac Reflux PRO jar, lid and measuring cup can be recycled. Dispose of them appropriately.
