Allantoin is a natural substance extracted primarily from the root of Comfrey ( Symphytum officinale ) of the Boraginaceae family. Used since ancient times for its antimicrobial and healing properties.
This ointment is useful in preventing skin maceration, aids in the healing process of wounds, burns and ulcers; keeps the skin soft and avoids stress to the skin in critical conditions.
