Description
It can be used for various types of slightly exuding or non-exuding wounds such as leg ulcers, foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, trauma wounds such as abrasions, finger injuries, blisters and skin tears. It can also be used as a protection for fragile and/or compromised skin.
The self-adhesive dressing absorbs exudate, maintains a moist environment and reduces the risk of maceration. It conforms perfectly. The Safetac layer perfectly defines the wound edges preventing the escape of exudate, thus reducing the risk of maceration. The Safetac layer ensures atraumatic removal at dressing change.
How to use
Clean the wound, according to the usual procedures;
dry the perilesional skin;
remove protective layers. Do not pull;
For best results, the dressing pad should completely cover the wound.
It can be used under compression bandages, is waterproof and can be used in conjunction with gels.
It can be left in place for several days depending on the condition of the wound and the periwound skin or based on the indications of the attending physician.
Components
A Safetac layer in contact with the wound (soft silicone);
a two-layer absorbent pad: a layer of polyurethane foam, a layer of non-woven fabric;
an outer layer consisting of a film that is permeable to vapour but impermeable to liquids.
Warnings
Do not use the product if you use substances containing oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide solutions.
Conservation
Store in a dry place at temperatures below 35°C (95°F); do not expose to direct sunlight. Do not use the product if the package is not intact. Sterility guaranteed only if the package is intact. Single use product. Do not resterilize.
