Description
highly absorbent dressing, designed to heal patients with acute and chronic wounds by effectively managing exudates, improving pain management and wound healing. MaxioCel can be used for moderate to heavily exuding wounds of varying depth, shape and size. Therefore, the device is highly indicated for wounds, bedsores, ulcers of various etiologies, skin abrasions, burns, surgical wounds, other types of infected wound treatment, in some cases it has also been used with satisfactory results for lesions located on the foot of diabetic patients.
The device has a patented Bioactive Microfiber Gelling Technology (BMG). The mechanism of action of the dressing involves a unique technology of gelling fibers that use chitosan to maintain a cohesive structure increasing fluid management, with its antimicrobial and mild hemostasis properties it actively contributes to wound healing.
The dressing is extremely versatile with high absorbency, retains exudate and protects the peri-wound skin from tissue maceration. The antimicrobial and anti-biofilm action promotes faster healing by improving patient comfort in terms of pain reduction and also aesthetics through an evident reduction of the scar.
MaxioCel has a moisture resistance approximately 3 times greater than traditional gelling dressings, remains completely intact during dressing changes and can be removed easily and painlessly. Even during the dispersion test, the dressing showed no evidence of loss of integrity and separation of the fibres from the original tissue structure.
How to use
1. Always follow aseptic techniques when dressing a wound.
2. Irrigate and clean the wound site.
3. Open the MaxioCel pouch and cut, fold or overlap the dressing to fit the wound.
4. Cover and secure with appropriate secondary dressing.
5. To remove, irrigate with saline/water solution and gently peel off.
6. Slowly remove and discard the dressing.

Warnings
The product has no contraindications.
It can be used safely on patients who have shown allergic reactions or are sensitive to shellfish.
MAXIOCEL dressings are not absorbable. They are not recommended for surgical implantation and for the control of severe bleeding. Sterility is guaranteed unless the pouch is damaged.
Conservation
Store at room temperature and away from heat sources.
Packaging validity: 36 months.
