This is a product that intervenes beneficially in case of cervicitis , cervicovaginitis , vaginitis And vulvo-vaginitis due to Trichomonas vaginalis even if associated with Candida , even with bacterial component.
Active ingredients
One 2.4 g ovule of Alfasigma Meclon Vaginal Ovules contains:
- Metronidazole 500 mg;
- Clotrimazole 100 mg.
Instructions for use of Alfasigma Meclon Vaginal Ovules
Use 1 ovule inserted into the vagina, once a day.
Usually no adverse effects are observed . Given the poor absorption of the principles through local application, adverse reactions observed with topical formulations are limited to: immune system disorders and skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders. Any occurrence of adverse effects requires discontinuation of treatment.
Warnings for use
Avoid contact with eyes. The concomitant use of oral Metronidazole is subject to side effects. Avoid treatment during menstruation. Use in early childhood under the direct supervision of a doctor and only in cases of real need. With medicines containing metronidazole For systemic use, cases of severe hepatotoxicity/acute liver failure, including cases with fatal outcome, with very rapid onset after initiation of treatment have been reported in patients with Cockayne syndrome. Therefore, in this population, it should be used after careful risk-benefit assessment and only in the absence of alternative treatments. liver function tests should be performed just before the start of therapy, during and after the end of treatment, until liver function tests return to normal or baseline values are reached. If liver function tests increase markedly during treatment, the drug should be discontinued. Patients with Cockayne syndrome should be advised to immediately report to their physician any symptoms of potential liver injury and to discontinue treatment with metronidazole.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the excipients. In pregnancy The product should be used only in case of real need and under the direct supervision of a doctor.
