Description
Loris
Description
Disposable medical device.
Medical device based on magnesium alginate, Mucosave HC plus, calcium carbonate and potassium bicarbonate.
LORIS is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux and associated symptoms, such as acid regurgitation, heartburn, pyrosis and esophagitis.
LORIS is a medical device capable of performing the following actions:
1. barrier effect, with formation of the so-called "floating raft" to prevent the rise of gastric contents along the esophagus, preventing the return of acid and food into the esophageal tract and hindering esophageal exposure to acids;
2. alkalinization, useful for buffering excessive gastric acidity;
3. protection of the gastroesophageal and laryngopharyngeal mucosa.
The mucoadhesive properties of the LORIS suspension physically promote the repair of the gastric and esophageal mucosa, reducing local symptoms (burning, pain) and promoting healing.
Ingredients
One 1.3 g chewable tablet contains: magnesium alginate 250 mg, Mucosave HC plus (Opuntia ficus indica L., Olea europaea L., maltodextrin) 60 mg, calcium carbonate 80 mg, potassium bicarbonate 40 mg; excipients: magnesium hydroxide, isomalt, sucralose, mint flavour, cooling flavour, masking flavour, mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, carbomer, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, sodium carboxymethylcellulose.
How to use
Adults and adolescents from 12 years:
two tablets taken separately after meals and in the evening before bedtime. An additional dose may be taken during the day as needed.
Place the tablet directly into the mouth: the tablet can be chewed (can be broken and chewed a little at a time) or can be dissolved. You can then drink some still water.
Caution: Do not swallow the tablet whole.
Warnings
Keep out of reach of children. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose since overdoses may cause constipation or transient diarrhea. Do not take LORIS for more than 30 consecutive days. Check the expiry date before use and do not use LORIS after the expiry date or if the original packaging is not perfectly intact.
Do not take LORIS in case of known hypersensitivity to the components, perforation and/or gastrointestinal obstruction.
Do not administer this medical device to children under 12 years of age unless otherwise indicated by your doctor.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking the product.
LORIS is contraindicated in case of chronic constipation or diarrhea, kidney disorders or chronic heart failure.
Due to its viscous nature, LORIS may delay or reduce the absorption of drugs administered at the same time: therefore, a doctor should be consulted before using it, especially if you are taking contraceptive pills or life-saving drugs.
LORIS can be associated with pharmacological products such as omeprazole, cimetidine or cisapride, however it is recommended to consult your doctor before associating LORIS.
Conservation
The expiry date is indicated on the packaging and blister and refers to the product in an intact package, correctly stored. Do not use LORIS after the expiry date or if the package is open or damaged. Keep the medical device tightly closed, in a cool and dry place, away from sources of light and heat.
Format
Pack of 4 blisters of 10 chewable tablets of 1.3 g.
