Property
Calcium is an essential mineral with multiple biological roles: in addition to being necessary for the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth, it contributes to muscle function, normal blood clotting, energy metabolism, normal neurotransmission and the function of digestive enzymes. It also intervenes in the process of cell division and specialization.
Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption/utilization of calcium and phosphorus, to the maintenance of normal muscle function, to the normal function of the immune system, to the promotion of the process of cell division, to normal blood calcium levels, to healthy teeth and bones.
