Phospholipids and glycolipids are important constituents of cell membranes. Soy lecithin is extracted from soybean oil and does not contain cholesterol. The harmonious balance of lecithin, bile acids and cholesterol in the bile fluid is an important condition for maintaining adequate bile fluidity.
