Description
Assembled (Kit) containing 3 medical devices bearing the CE marking (Isonebial, Spray-sol and Luer-Lock syringe).
- Isonebial Kit is indicated for daily cleaning of the nasal passages. It softens the mucus, promoting its elimination and re-establishes the right level of hydration of dry or encrusted nasal mucosa, improving breathing. The ectoine contained in Isonebial has a protective effect and a hydrating action that gives relief to the irritated mucosa. The solution contained in the single-dose vials can be administered via Spray-sol or even with aerosol therapy.
- Spray-sol is a medical device specifically designed to perform topical treatments of the nasal and sinus cavities and allows the rapid administration of the solution through nebulization in particles of size between 10 and 20 microns, suitable for the treatment of the upper airways. Thanks to its specially designed shape, it adapts ergonomically to the child's nostril, but can also be used by adults.
Spray-sol is intended for use by a single patient, but can be used multiple times. It is therefore very important to clean it thoroughly after each use to ensure optimal functioning and a long life. Wash Spray-sol under warm running water, possibly adding a drop of neutral soap (not abrasive). Before storing, dry Spray-sol with a soft cloth.
How to use
To use Isonebial Kit correctly you need:
- detach a single-dose vial and warm it between your hands before administering the solution;
- open the bottle by turning the cap, connect it to the syringe included in the package and draw up the solution to be nebulized;
- fix the syringe, filled with the solution to be nebulized, by screwing it onto the appropriate Spray-sol nozzle;
- in infants and small children (under 3 years of age and in any case depending on the level of cooperation) it is necessary to wash in a position lying on one side, keeping the head tilted to one side and gently inserting Spray-sol into the upper nostril. Push vigorously on the syringe piston to nebulize the solution;
- in older children and adults, hold the torso forward with the head slightly tilted to one side and insert Spray-sol into the upper nostril. Push on the syringe plunger to nebulise the solution;
- repeat the same operations for the other nostril, trying to divide the solution contained in the syringe equally between the two nostrils;
- before storing the device, rinse the syringe under running water and wash Spray-sol.
It is advisable to respect the following frequency of use:
- Infants: instill a few drops in each nostril, several times a day, generally before feeding or before going to sleep.
- Children and adults: 1-3 washes per nostril, several times a day.
Components
Each vial of Isonebial contains: sodium chloride; ectoine; sodium phosphate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, water. Contains no preservatives.
Warnings
The solution is not for injection. Use the product only for its intended use. In children under one year of age and in the case of concomitant drug therapy, use under medical advice. In the event of adverse reactions, stop using the product and contact your doctor. Do not use for more than 30 consecutive days, or seek medical advice. If using the aerosol solution, it is recommended to follow the instructions for the device. Do not use after the expiry date. Before each use, check that the syringe and Spray-sol devices are not damaged; if they are damaged, do not use them for nebulization. Spray-sol is intended for a single patient, but can be reused for multiple nebulizations. For reuse, clean properly. Use Spray-sol as long as the mechanical integrity and ability to nebulize the solution are maintained. It is recommended not to use Spray-sol and syringe for more than 6 months from first use. Put the syringe back in the appropriate packaging after each use as it is intended for multiple use. The use of Spray-sol by children or non-self-sufficient persons must be supervised by an adult who has read these instructions for use. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Conservation
The product must be stored in a cool, dry place away from light and heat sources, do not store in the refrigerator.
The expiry date indicated refers to the intact and correctly stored product.
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.
Shelf life after opening: Reclose the vial immediately. The contents of the vial must be reused within 12 hours after first opening.
