Description
Healing agent indicated in the treatment of infected wounds and burns, dermatological conditions of bacterial origin or predisposed to the development of secondary infections.
Hyaluronic acid is the main component of the fundamental substance of the dermis. It acts on all phases of the healing process. It accelerates the healing and re-epithelialization of skin lesions. Its hygroscopic power maintains a moist environment favorable to the tissue regeneration process.
Silver sulfadiazine is a component with high antibacterial activity, mainly on Gram (-) bacteria.
Components
Hyaluronic acid (sodium salt) 0.2%, silver sulfadiazine 1%, oleic acid decyl ester, cetearyl alcohol and sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium cetearyl sulfate, macrogol, liquid sorbitol, glycerol, water.
How to use
After performing the normal cleaning procedures, apply the cream directly to the clean and disinfected wound, forming a layer of about 2-3 mm or spread the cream on a sterile gauze and then apply it to the wound. Since the cream is protected by a sterile gauze, it is possible to keep the dressing in place with an appropriate bandage.
Before each new application, it is recommended to clean the wound with saline solution.
The application must be renewed every 24 hours from granulation until complete healing.
The cream can be removed by simply washing with water.
The evolution of the healing process of the wound or burn must be evaluated by the doctor. The total duration of treatment should not exceed 1 month.
Warnings
In very rare cases, local hypersensitivity reactions such as eczema have been observed.
Contraindicated in case of known general or local sensitization to sulphonamides (contact eczema) and in case of allergy to one of the components.
Due to insufficient data, the use of ialuset PLUS is not recommended in children under two years of age.
Follow the methods of cleaning and disinfection of burns and wounds, as well as the surrounding tissue. The use of ialuset PLUS in combination with an enzymatic detergent has not been evaluated.
Avoid exposing the body parts treated with ialuset PLUS to intense sunlight (risk of photosensitivity). A temporary discoloration of the wound bed may appear. This can be removed by simple washing.
In patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, avoid applying the cream to open wounds.
Children: ialuset Plus should be used with caution in children over two years of age, the duration of treatment should not exceed 15 days without medical advice.
Do not apply the end of the tube directly to the wound.
Do not use if packages are damaged.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not ingest.
External use.
Take any expired or unused products to your pharmacist for disposal.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: ialuset Plus should only be used in pregnant and breastfeeding women when strictly necessary.
Conservation
Close the tube carefully after each use.
Store below 30°C, away from light.
Best before date of production, in intact packaging: 36 months.
Use within 6 months after opening.
