Description
Food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of subjects with malnutrition resulting from states of frailty or pathologies for which branched-chain amino acids, HMB and vitamin D3 are essential for the ability to stop protein loss and improve nutritional status more effectively than the exclusive use of diet (for example, post-stroke patients, after major surgery or post-traumatic events).
It contains fibres that allow the product to gel upon simple contact with water, for the dietary management of subjects with swallowing difficulties or dysphagia.
Ingredients
L-leucine, calcium hydroxymethylbutyrate (HMB), maltodextrin, L-valine, L-isoleucine; thickener: xanthan gum; glucomannan, flavourings; acidity regulator: citric acid; sweeteners: sucralose, acesulfame K; vitamin D (cholecalciferol), zinc oxide.
Gluten- free and lactose- free.
Nutritional characteristics
How to use
It is recommended to take 1-2 sachets per day, according to your doctor's advice, preferably away from main meals.
Subjects with swallowing difficulties or dysphagia:
1. Pour the contents of one sachet into a dry glass and disperse in 60 ml of water at room temperature.
2. Mix until completely dispersed.
3. Wait until the product reaches the desired consistency.
Subjects without swallowing difficulties: follow the procedures described above.
The consistency can be changed by varying the amount of water.
Warnings
The product must be used under medical supervision and under medical advice. Not indicated as the sole source of nutrition. It must not be administered parenterally. Do not take in case of known or suspected allergy and/or intolerance to one or more of the ingredients. Keep out of reach of children under three years of age.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25° C, away from humidity and direct sources of heat.

How to use
