Glucosamine is an amino sugar widely distributed in nature where it is found in chitin and in numerous mucoproteins and mucopolysaccharides, it is also naturally present in our body, mainly in articular cartilage. It is prepared by isolation from chitin. Glucosamine supplementation is indicated in cases of increased need for this nutrient.

D-glucosamine sulphate (from crustacean shells) corresponding to glucosamine, microcrystalline cellulose; anti-caking agents: talc, vegetable magnesium stearate and colloidal silica.
