Description
Gerdoff is a mechanical medical device indicated for:
-in the symptomatic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease. It rapidly reduces related symptoms such as: heartburn, acid regurgitation, epigastric pain, irritative cough, dysphonia.
-in the symptomatic treatment of hyperacidity (occasional heartburn and pain).
Gerdoff is an original and innovative combination of chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid and aluminum hydroxide. Gerdoff contributes to the protective effect against the irritating action of hydrochloric acid produced by the stomach:
-the presentation in tablets to be initially dissolved in the mouth, stimulates salivation, which allows better contact of the components with the esophageal wall and promotes its protection and lubrication.
-chondroitin sulphate, adhering to the gastroesophageal mucosa, protects it by effectively isolating it from the attack of the gastric juices.
-hyaluronic acid, in combination with the adhesive properties of chondroitin sulfate, protects damaged esophageal tissue and promotes its reintegration.
-aluminium hydroxide acts as an antacid, reducing the aggressiveness of gastric juices towards the damaged mucosa.
Ingredients
Chondroitin sulphate sodium salt, sucrose, aluminium hydroxide, calcium carbonate; anti-caking agents: mono and ditriglycerides of fatty acids, silicon dioxide, high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate; flavouring; sweetener: ammonium glycyrrhizinate.
Without gluten , lactose and derivatives .
How to use
The tablets should initially be dissolved in the mouth and then chewed. Their intake can also be followed by the ingestion of water or milk.
Adults and children over 12 years : 1-2 tablets after main meals and before going to bed, or as needed in case of symptoms such as pain and heartburn, according to medical advice.
Children : over 6 years: it is recommended to use the product only after consulting your doctor. 1 tablet, after main meals and/or before bedtime, or as needed in case of symptoms such as pain and heartburn. If necessary, the tablet can be divided in half, using the pre-break line.
Warnings
The product contains aluminum, which may interfere with the simultaneous intake of medications, citrates can increase the absorption of aluminum. It is advisable not to take medications 1 hour before and 2 hours after using the product and only after consulting your doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose. In case of adverse reactions, stop treatment and consult your doctor. After a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor. The product contains sucrose, this should be taken into account in diabetic patients. Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package. Keep out of reach of children. Side effects: prolonged use of the product, due to the astringent action of aluminum, may cause constipation. Contraindications: renal failure. Hypophosphatemia. Known hypersensitivity to one of the components. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: use the product after consulting your doctor.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources.
The expiry date refers to the product in intact packaging and correctly stored.
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.
