INDICATIONS: FISIOACID with Gastrosystem is a mechanical action medical device based on Magnesium Alginate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate and calcium carbonate, formulated to perform 3 synergistic actions: block acid reflux, reduce burning and protect the esophageal mucosa. FISIOACID with Gastrosystem is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux in order to reduce the symptoms related to it, such as, burning, heartburn in pregnancy, reflux esophagitis, acid regurgitation, indigestion, nocturnal reflux symptoms, cough, laryngopharyngeal inflammation.
HOW IT WORKS: FISIOACID with Gastrosystem is characterized by the presence of magnesium alginate and carbonates and exerts its activity thanks to a physical mechanism of action. In contact with the acidic pH of the stomach, magnesium alginate (a natural polymer extracted from brown algae) reacts to form a gel while the carbonates release carbon dioxide allowing the gel to float and thus form a plug that mechanically prevents gastric juices from rising towards the esophagus. The presence of bicarbonate also helps to reduce stomach acidity.
INGREDIENTS: Gastrosystem (Magnesium alginate, Sodium bicarbonate, Sodium carbonate, Calcium carbonate), Sorbitol, Vegetable magnesium stearate, Polyacrylic acid, Hydroxypropyl cellulose, Flavoring, Silicon dioxide, Aspartame, Sucralose.
HOW TO TAKE AND DOSAGE: adults and children over 12 years: 2 or 4 tablets after main meals and at bedtime. The tablets must be chewed well. They can also be taken with water.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS: Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Store at a temperature between 8°C and 25°C, in a dry place, protected from light and away from heat sources.
WARNINGS: Do not use in case of severe renal insufficiency. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the components. In case of adverse reactions, stop treatment and consult your doctor. The product may interfere with the absorption of oral medicines. It is therefore advisable to consult your doctor in case of concomitant intake of oral medicines, which must in any case be administered at least 2 hours apart. If no improvement is noted after 7 days of treatment, it is advisable to consult your doctor. The product may cause a feeling of swelling. Following the instructions for use below reduces the probability of this occurring. This product contains approximately 70 mg (3.0 mmol) of sodium and approximately 32 mg (0.8 mmol) of calcium per single dose (equal to 2 x 1 g tablets). Consult your doctor if you are on a low-salt diet, such as if you have high blood pressure, heart, liver and kidney problems, hypercalcemia, nephrocalcinosis and recurrent kidney stones containing calcium. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package.
