Description
ENTEROCLISM
FOR TRAVEL
Description
Medical device used to free the last part of the intestine from feces and/or gas, with the introduction of a probe into the rectum and/or sigma.
Its use is for diagnostic purposes, in proximity to a surgical intervention, or simply for a temporary difficulty in evacuating due to the presence of a traumatic obstructive fecaloma, or in case of constipation or other problems related to defecation.
It can also be used at home.
Equipped with anal cannula for enemas and vaginal irrigation cannula.
How to use
Before each assembly of the Device, clean and sanitize and, if deemed necessary, sterilize the parts in contact with the user (cannulas).
To perform the assembly, proceed as follows:
• Insert the fitting into the lower end of the bag, screwing it in tightly (without the aid of tools)
• Insert the transparent tube into the fitting, making sure that it reaches the stop of the rubber holder
• Insert the other end of the transparent tube into the rubber holder on the tap with lever; the insertion section of the tube into the tap must be such as to guarantee the subsequent seal for the therapeutic liquids that will be used and at the same time avoid slipping out during manual operations
• Hang the bag in a suitable position and vertically, using the handle provided; the support used must ensure a solid anchoring in a position that avoids any contamination, or accidental introduction of liquids/foreign materials into the bag. The height at which the bag is positioned determines the pressure of the water inside the cannula; ask the doctor at what height to position the bag
• Close the tap using the lever (the closed position can be identified by the 90° orientation of the lever with respect to the flow of the liquid)
• Screw one of the two supplied cannulas onto the tap fully (depending on use).
Now the Device is ready for use.
Preventive checks before use
Before unpacking, make sure that the package is intact. If you think that there are parts missing and/or damaged, do not use, but contact the vendor who sold you the device. For any clarifications, always contact your trusted pharmacist/doctor.
Always make sure, before each use, that all the parts making up the device: are intact and undamaged (e.g. cracks, dents, tears), have not changed colour, taken on non-uniform colours, do not have surface mould and that no unpleasant odours come from inside the bag with handle and other components.
In such cases, do not use and replace immediately.
Cleaning mode
Before using the device for the first time and the following times, manually disassemble all the parts and wash them using warm water and neutral soap and then sanitize (disinfect); the cannulas can be sterilized by gamma rays, heat and with ethylene oxide.
For the appropriate method of sanitization, manually disassemble all the parts constituting the device and consult your trusted pharmacist/doctor, keeping in mind the composition of the various materials indicated in the characteristics.
Do not use brushes for cleaning but only soft sponges so as not to scratch the surface.
Do not use alcohol, solvents, acids to clean the surfaces of the device.
