Description
EMTRIX
New formulation
Treatment of onychomycosis and nail psoriasis
Description
Medical device.
EMTRIX is a clear, colourless liquid supplied in a plastic tube with a silicone tip to facilitate application of the product to the nail.
EMTRIX does not contain preservatives or fragrances. The ingredients are completely biodegradable.
For the treatment of nails affected by fungal infections (onychomycosis) or psoriasis.
EMTRIX improves the appearance of discolored and deformed nails. It has a physical keratolytic effect and degrades the fungal cells that typically cause onychomycosis.
It increases hydration, gently smoothes the outer layers of the nail plate and, by modifying the microenvironment, improves the integrity of the nail surface itself and keeps it in good condition.
Dermatologically tested.
Components
Propylene glycol, urea, glycerol, lactic acid, water, sodium hydroxide, disodium EDTA.
How to use
Apply EMTRIX once a day to the nails to be treated, preferably in the evening just before going to bed. Place the tip of the tube on the nail. Press the tube lightly and spread the solution over the nail using the tip. Cover the nails to be treated with a light layer of the solution. It is important to also apply the solution under the free edge of each of these nails. After application, it is necessary to let the nail dry for a few minutes.
The first visible signs of improvement are usually seen after 1 week of treatment. The length of treatment varies depending on the initial severity of the condition, but in many cases 3 to 6 months of treatment are needed to achieve acceptable results. For best results, continue treatment until a normal nail grows.
Avoid using nail polish during treatment, as the desired effect of EMTRIX will be reduced.
EMTRIX acts only locally and can therefore be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Warnings
For external use only.
Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes.
Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients. Do not apply EMTRIX to the nail bed if the nail or affected parts of the nail have separated from the underlying nail bed.
Keep out of reach of children. Consult a doctor before using on children.
Minor, transient irritation of the skin immediately adjacent to the nail and discoloration of the nail may occur in some patients.
Loosening/separation of the nail from the underlying nail bed (onycholysis), including detachment of the affected portion of the nail, may also occur.
Conservation
Store between 2°C and 25°C. Protect from sunlight and freezing.
Use by the expiry date indicated on the tube and outer box.
Validity with intact packaging: 30 months.
Format
10 ml tube.
