elmex Junior toothpaste for children aged 6 to 12, specially developed for the specific needs during the change of teeth. The new permanent teeth, which begin to appear around the age of six, are particularly exposed to tooth decay because the tooth enamel is initially still porous and relatively soft. A higher concentration of fluoride promotes the hardening process of the teeth, thus increasing the resistance of the teeth to acid attacks and the resulting risk of tooth decay. Thanks to the specific properties of the amine fluorides contained in the toothpaste, protection from tooth decay is ensured even for several hours after brushing. The mild taste encourages children to switch from children's toothpaste, with a lower fluoride content, to a product with an age-appropriate fluoride concentration.
