Diosmectalgo 12 sachets

Description
Medical device, ready-to-drink suspension, in single-dose sachets for oral administration. DiosmectalGo is indicated for:
-the treatment of acute diarrhea in adults and children over 8 years of age. Treatment of the administration of oral rehydration solutions to avoid dehydration;
-the treatment of chronic diarrhea or abdominal pain in adults.
The main component of DiosmectalGo is diosmectite. Diosmectite is a natural clay that helps to stop and treat diarrhea and relieve abdominal pain. It has been shown to:
-binds to toxins and germs (bacteria and viruses) and helps eliminate them from the body;
-protects the intestinal tract and helps repair intestinal damage thanks to its natural coating properties.

Ingredients
Diosmectite, cocoa caramel flavour (blend of natural and synthetic flavours, caramel colour E150d, caramelised sugar syrup, propylene glycol E1520, water, ethanol, caffeine), xanthan gum, citric acid monohydrate, ascorbic acid, potassium sorbate, sucralose, purified water.

How to use
This medical device is taken orally and is ready to drink. The contents of the sachet can be swallowed directly. Massage the sachet before opening. Each sachet must be used only once after opening.
· In case of acute diarrhea
-Children (8-15 years inclusive): 2 sachets to start, followed by 1 sachet for each loose stool, up to 4 sachets per day. An oral rehydration solution (ORS) should be taken to replace fluids lost due to diarrhoea and to prevent dehydration.
-Adults and children over 15 years: 2 sachets to start, followed by 1 sachet with each loose bowel movement, up to 6 sachets per day.
· In case of chronic diarrhea and abdominal pain
-Adults only: up to 3 sachets per day (1 in the morning, 1 at midday, 1 in the evening), as required.
Without medical advice, you can use this medical device for up to 2 weeks. Prolonged or repeated use of DiosmectalGo is not recommended.

Warnings
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. It should not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. If you forget to take a dose, take the dose after your next loose stool (bowel movement). Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The most common side effect reported during treatment is constipation. If constipation occurs, treatment should be stopped and if necessary restarted at a lower daily dose. Other less common side effects reported include rash, hives, itching and angioedema (swollen skin, lips, throat and tongue). If you notice any other side effects not listed, or if any side effects persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If you experience any serious side effects, you can report them to the manufacturer Ipsen Consumer HealthCare and/or a healthcare professional.

Conservation
There are no particular storage conditions.
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.
