URINARY pH
Collect fresh urine in a container. Peel off one of the control strips with dry fingers. Dip the control strip into the urine for one second, remove and discard the excess liquid. The wet part will take on a different color depending on the pH of the urine. Within 2 minutes compare with the color range.
The values between:
- 5.6 and 6.8 indicate an acidic pH;
- 7 pH neutral;
- 7.2 and 8 indicate an alkaline pH.
