Description
Food supplement based on Haematococcus pluvialis extract standardized in astaxanthin. Haematococcus pluvialis is a microalgae of the Chlamydomonadeae family, a particularly concentrated natural source of astaxanthin. Astaxanthin is a xanthophyll (a class of carotenoids) widespread among aquatic animals (fish and crustaceans) to which it gives a characteristic pink pigmentation. Astaxanthin has a slightly polar structure that allows it to assume a specific orientation in the cell membrane to best perform its function.
Ingredients
Sunflower oil, astaxanthin [astaxanthin-rich oleoresin derived from the algae Haematococcus pluvialis (10% astaxanthin)], edible gelatin; coating agent: vegetable glycerol.
