Description
Tioretin A free is a sterile isotonic ophthalmic solution with Hypromellose, Lipoic Acid and amino acids, without preservatives, useful for integrating tear secretion and restoring the physiological conditions of the tear film.
Tioretin A free protects and lubricates the surface of the eye, performing an antioxidant action useful in conditions of particular oxidative stress of a metabolic nature (e.g. diabetic pathology) or chemical-physical.
Hypromellose is a polymer with mucomimetic characteristics, which has the property of restoring and stabilizing the tear film on the ocular surface, creating a protective, transparent and viscoelastic shield. Lipoic Acid neutralizes free radicals in the tear film, carrying out a protective action in situations of oxidative stress.
The formulation with amino acids contributes to the lubrication of the ocular surface and improves the protection of the epithelia subjected to stress of various kinds.
The Tioretin A free bottle is fitted with an OSD (Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser) dropper which, through its absolute filter and valve system, guarantees the maintenance of the sterility of the product without the use of preservatives.
How to use
Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac 3 or more times a day. The product can be instilled into the eye even when wearing contact lenses.
-When using for the first time, remove the plastic ring that seals the cap by pulling the side tab. -Remove the cap.
-Turn the bottle upside down over your eye and use your index finger and thumb to apply increasing pressure on the sides until a drop comes out. As the solution in the bottle runs out, you may need to apply more force.
-Replace the bottle with the cap.
Components
Main component: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (hypromellose), lipoic acid.
Other ingredients: boric acid, disodium tetraborate decahydrate, sodium chloride, glycine, L-leucine, L-lysine hydrochloride, L-proline, tromethamine, water for injections.
Warnings
The product is for external ophthalmic use only. To eliminate the risk of contamination of the solution, do not allow the dropper to come into contact with the eye or other objects. To avoid lesions to the ocular surface, do not allow the dropper to come into contact with the eye during instillation. As the solution in the bottle gradually runs out, it will be necessary to apply greater force to determine the exit of the drop. Close the bottle tightly after use. In case of concomitant administration of topical ophthalmic drugs, consult your doctor. Do not use the product if the OSD bottle is damaged. Keep the preparation out of the sight and reach of children.
Contraindications : known hypersensitivity to the components of the product or other closely related substances from a chemical point of view.
Side effects : There are no known side effects after administration of the product. In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use of the product and consult a doctor. After application of the product, a slight burning sensation in the eye and temporary visual discomfort may occur.
Conservation
Do not store above 25°C. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the bottle label. After first opening, the product can be used until the expiry date indicated on the packaging. Do not dispose of in the environment.
Validity with intact packaging: 24 months.
