Description
Supplement of the lipid component of the eyelid and the palpebral fissure even during inflammatory processes: redness, itching and burning of the eyelids including those of iatrogenic nature secondary to the use of hypotonic eye drops containing carbonic anhydrase inhibitors. It is also useful for its soothing, emollient and cleansing capacity, in the prevention and reduction of eyelid darkening and ciliary elongation including those induced by eye drops based on prostaglandin analogues.
Prolid Ofta eye spray helps restore the lipid component present on the eyelid rim in case of functional or tissue changes. It has a protective action and supports the repair processes of the eyelid tissue. The action of Prolid Ofta is manifested through the maintenance of the functionality of the eyelid rim and through an improvement in the elasticity of the eyelid tissue. Liposomes are nanotechnological vesicles (with a diameter between 20 and 500 millionths of a millimeter), consisting of a double layer of phospholipids that convey Vitamins A and E to the tissues, protecting them from oxidation and making them available to the tissues. The combined use of Liposomes, Vitamin A and Vitamin E, for their soothing and emollient properties, helps maintain the optimal condition of the eyelid and periocular tissue and provides functional support to the lipid component present on the eyelid rim. Vitamin E is also a powerful antioxidant essential for counteracting the formation of free radicals, substances toxic to all tissues in the body, and prevents the degradation of Vitamin A. Prolid Ofta has protective and repairing properties and is useful in all cases of redness, swelling and itching of the eyelids.
Contains no propellant gases.
How to use
Apply 1-2 sprays of Prolid Ofta spray to the eye, preferably keeping the eyelids closed. It is recommended to apply Prolid Ofta spray 3-4 times a day. In case of severe discomfort, Prolid Ofta spray can also be applied more frequently. Spray the product from a distance of 10 cm. Prolid Ofta spray can also be used in the presence of cosmetics: in this case, apply only one spray from a greater distance (about 20 cm).
When using for the first time, spray the product empty until the first nebulization. Shake before each spray. Keep the bottle upright during spraying.

Retinyl palmitate (Vitamin A), alpha-tocopherol (Vitamin E), hydrogenated phospholipids, monobasic sodium phosphate, dibasic sodium phosphate, N-hydroxymethylglycinate, disodium EDTA, sodium chloride, purified water.
Warnings
Contraindicated in case of known hypersensitivity to the components of the product or other closely related substances from a chemical point of view.
The product is for external ophthalmic use only.
To eliminate the risk of contamination of the solution, avoid allowing the nebulizer to come into contact with the eye or other subjects.
To avoid damage to the ocular surface, do not allow the nebulizer to come into contact with the eye during instillation.
Do not use Prolid Ofta spray in conjunction with topical ophthalmic medications. If other ophthalmic medications are administered in addition to Prolid Ofta spray, allow a 10-minute interval between the two applications.
Do not use the product if the bottle is damaged.
Keep the preparation out of the sight and reach of children.
There are no known interactions with drugs. Accidental use with eyes open may cause a temporary burning sensation, which however disappears quickly without consequences.

Store the product at a temperature between 4°C and 25°C.
