Description
Medical stockings with a compressive action. The compressive action reduces edema, promotes the healing of sores and ulcers and alleviates the disorders associated with varicose veins and skin alterations of venous origin.
How to use
Long, pointed nails and rings with sharp edges can damage stockings, so it is always advisable to use special gloves when putting on and taking off stockings. Do not cut any threads inside the stocking. Limit any skin treatments to evening use. Put on stockings when you get up, when your legs are still free of swelling. Make sure your legs are dry. Slide the stocking up to the heel. Do not pull the stocking up, but distribute the stitches evenly on the leg with gloves. Always lift the stitches with flat hand movements up to the knee, making sure they are evenly distributed.
How to remove: Grasp the top edge of the sock with gloves and pull the sock down to the heel. Slide the stitches over the heel using flat hand movements.
The sock is correctly positioned when the upper edge ends 2 fingers below the knee.
Warnings
If recommended by a doctor and used correctly, compression stockings are usually free of side effects. In patients with impaired sensitivity, any pressure points or signs of impaired blood flow due to compression may go unnoticed. It is therefore advisable to check the feet for pressure points, signs of impaired blood flow or new skin lesions. In these cases, it is recommended to stop using the stockings. It is also advisable to consult a doctor. It is advisable to wear medical compression stockings after consulting a doctor (specialist). It is important to schedule and absolutely comply with medical check-ups. The expiry date of the product is indicated by the hourglass symbol printed on the package. We guarantee the maximum benefit of compression stockings for a period of use of 6 months. Medical compression stockings can cause skin lesions and compromise arterial circulation, especially if used improperly.
Absolute contraindications
Marked arteriosclerosis (advanced peripheral obstructive arterial disease). Edema and respiratory difficulty present even at rest (decompensated heart failure). Venous inflammation due to microorganisms (septic phlebitis). Particularly severe form of venous thrombosis (phlegmasia coerulea dolens).
Relative contraindications
Exuding skin diseases (dermatitis). Intolerance to the material of compression stockings. Sensation disorders in the limbs (extremities) due to temporary or permanent nerve damage (advanced peripheral neuropathy). Inflammatory joint disease (rheumatoid arthritis). Arterial vascular disorders. Lymphedema or lipedema from stage II onwards.
Medical compression stockings should not be worn on open wounds! We decline all liability in the event of failure to comply with the warnings.
