Description
The Esteem+ Uro one-piece pouches are specifically designed for urostomy patients. The new design of Esteem+ Uro, thanks to the rounded corners and the lining sheet, guarantees total comfort throughout the day.
Esteem+ Uro is equipped with a self-supporting barrier with total skin protection in Durahesive that ensures maximum seal against any urine infiltration. The bag is equipped with an anti-reflux valve that prevents urine from rising towards the stoma and an Accuseal tap, which allows it to be emptied.
The Durahesive skin barrier is protected by a shaped blister that can be removed at the time of use. Behind the hydrocolloid layer in Durahesive there are holes that allow the attachment of the belt.
The bag is equipped with a tap with Accuseal closure on the bottom. This type of tap guarantees greater safety for the patient, also thanks to the visual indicator (red drop) located on the rotating tap: the presence of the red drop means that the tap is in the open position. If necessary, it is possible to connect the tap to a bag with a larger capacity (night bag) using the connecting tube included in each package.
The Durahesive present on the entire adhesive area of the barrier delicately protects the skin from contact with urine. The characteristics of this hydrocolloid make the skin barrier particularly resistant to the corrosive effect of liquid effluents, allowing an effective and long permanence in situ. It is waterproof and allows you to safely bathe or shower without having to remove the device.
The anti-reflux valve prevents urine from rising upwards and stagnating around the stoma, thus avoiding possible urinary tract infections.
Thanks to the connecting tube, the bag can be connected, during the night, to a larger urine collection bag, thus avoiding interrupting the night's rest to empty the bag. For further safety in the seal, even if it is not essential, it is possible to use a support belt.
