Description
Medical device for the treatment of heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux, with mechanical action, indicated for:
- in the symptomatic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease. It rapidly reduces related symptoms such as: heartburn, acid regurgitation, epigastric pain, irritative cough, dysphonia;
- in the symptomatic treatment of hyperacidity (occasional heartburn and pain).
RefluZero is a combination of chondroitin sulphate, hyaluronic acid and aluminium hydroxide.
RefluZero contributes to the protective effect against the irritating action of hydrochloric acid produced by the stomach.
The presentation in tablets to be initially dissolved in the mouth stimulates salivation, which allows better contact of the components with the esophageal wall and promotes its protection and lubrication.
Chondroitin sulfate, adhering to the gastroesophageal mucosa, protects it by effectively isolating it from the attack of gastric juices.
Hyaluronic acid, in combination with the adhesive properties of chondroitin sulfate, protects damaged esophageal tissue and promotes its reintegration.
Aluminum hydroxide acts as an antacid, reducing the aggressiveness of gastric juices towards the damaged mucosa.
How to use
- Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 tablets after main meals and before going to bed, or as needed in case of symptoms such as pain and heartburn, according to medical advice.
- Children over 6 years: it is recommended to use the product only after consulting your doctor. 1 tablet, after main meals and/or before bedtime, or as needed in case of symptoms such as pain and heartburn. If necessary, the tablet can be divided in half, using the pre-break line.
The tablets should initially be dissolved in the mouth and then chewed. Their intake can also be followed by the ingestion of water or milk.
Components
Chondroitin sulphate sodium salt, sucrose, aluminium hydroxide, calcium carbonate; anti-caking agents: mono-di-tri-glycerides of fatty acids, silicon dioxide, high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate; flavouring; sweetener: ammonium glycyrrhizinate.
The product does not contain gluten, lactose and derivatives.
Warnings
The product contains aluminum, which may interfere with the concomitant intake of medications, citrates may increase the absorption of aluminum.
It is advisable not to take any medicines 1 hour before and 2 hours after using the product and only after consulting your doctor.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
If adverse reactions occur, stop treatment and consult your doctor.
After a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor.
The product contains sucrose, this should be taken into account in diabetic patients.
Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package.
Keep out of reach of children.
Prolonged use of the product, due to the astringent action of aluminum, may cause constipation.
Contraindicated in case of renal insufficiency, hypophosphatemia and known hypersensitivity to one of the components.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, use the product after consulting your doctor.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources.
The expiry date refers to the product in intact packaging and correctly stored.
Validity with intact packaging: 24 months.
