Swedish Bitter
Dosage and Directions for Use:- heaviness in the stomach: 1 teaspoon in 1/2 glass of water or herbal tea.
- Heartburn: as above but in as little liquid as possible (1/4 glass).
- Abdominal pain and swelling: prepare a fennel and anise herbal tea with the addition of 1 and a half tablespoons of bitters, drink warm. To increase the effect, make a poultice on the painful part.
- Lazy intestine: 3 tablespoons in 3 fingers of herbal tea or water.
- Colitis: 1 tablespoon in 3 fingers of water or herbal tea, 3 times a day.
- Flu symptoms: at the first symptoms, take 1 tablespoon, in a little warm water or herbal tea, 3 times a day, 2 hours before meals.
- Sinusitis and constipation: apply a gauze soaked in bitters on the forehead. Moisten the nape of the neck, throat, temples and lung area with bitters.
- Stuffy nose: 2 times a day, inhale with 1 1/2 liters of boiling water with the addition of 4 tablespoons of bitters. Inhale covered with a towel for about 10 minutes.
- Sore throat: Fill a glass 3/4 full with warm water and add 2 tablespoons of bitters. Gargle several times a day.
- Cough: fumigations with 1 1/2 liters of boiling water with the addition of 4 tablespoons of bitter, 3 times a day. Also take the bitter in the morning and evening in a hot herbal tea of sage and thyme. In case of strong inflammation, apply a gauze soaked in bitter on the chest and bronchi (for at least 1 hour).

For internal use, do not take if you have stomach irritation.
