Characteristics
These are adhesive plates, with a hooking system for the Alterna and Alterna Mio two-piece bags for both the colon and ileum and for urostomy, indicated for the collection of less aggressive stomal waste. They have slots for attaching a support belt. This is a medical device pursuant to Directive 93/42/EEC. - The plate is round in shape with a flange for attaching the bag - The plate is available in three different flange diameters: 40-50-60 mm - The Alterna Mio Pro adhesive consists of two spiral-shaped adhesives, one whitish and one brown. The whitish adhesive is made up of 60% hydrocolloids. Inside the hydrocolloid matrix there is pectin, which allows the pH of the skin to be managed, and titanium oxide, which acts as a colorant and improves the amalgamation of the mixture. This adhesive has the characteristic of being extremely protective for the skin. The brown adhesive is composed of 50% hydrocolloids and 50% polymers (PIB), a thermoplastic polymer that ensures immediate adhesion to the plate. This adhesive guarantees adhesion and safety. The two adhesives are strongly bonded to each other and, when removed, the plate comes off in one piece, without leaving residue. - The adhesive can be cut to the desired size by following the guide printed on the silicone paper that protects the adhesive surface - The knurling and rounded edges make the adhesive even more flexible. Also available in the light and convex convex versions to better manage flat and/or inverted stomas.
Composition
- The adhesive is based on polymers (PIB) and hydrocolloids (carboxymethylcellulose and pectin), inside the hydrocolloidal matrix there is titanium oxide as a colorant.
- The attachment flange is made of low density polyethylene.

Conservation
We recommend storing in the original intact packaging away from light and humidity, at a constant temperature between 15° and 30°.
Disposal
The product does not contain Ecotoxic components therefore does not require special disposal protocols. Do not disperse in the environment as it is not Biodegradable.
