Description
PEGinpol is a medical device belonging to class 2A, with a laxative action that, through an osmotic mechanism, regulates the intestine in a natural way. PEGinpol is particularly indicated in chronic constipation and in cases of occasionally irregular intestine. Thanks to its affinity for water, PEGinpol softens the stool, facilitating evacuation without causing cramps, abdominal pain or conditions of urgency. Its effectiveness does not decrease over time. It is not absorbed or fermented in the intestine, does not irritate the mucosa and is eliminated in the stool in an unchanged form.
Ingredients
Macrogol 3350; excipients: silicon dioxide, flavouring, sodium saccharin.
Gluten and lactose free.
How to use
From 6 months to 2 years (up to 12 kg) : 1-2 sachets per day.
From 2 to 11 years (from 12 kg to 20 kg) : 2-4 sachets per day.
Above 11 years (or > 20 kg) : 2-6 sachets per day.
The dose may be increased or decreased depending on the individual response to treatment. In any case, it is advisable to seek the advice of a doctor for the most correct dosage. Use the product in pediatric age only after medical advice. Normally the maximum dosage required does not exceed 6 sachets per day.
Dissolve one sachet (5 g) in approximately 1/2 glass of water (approximately 62.5 ml). The daily dose can be divided into several administrations. It is recommended to take PEGinpol away from meals.
Warnings
The oral suspension must be prepared at the time of intake. It is recommended not to take larger quantities than those indicated, as higher doses may cause the onset of unexpected side effects. Do not use PEGinpol for more than 30 consecutive days, if symptoms persist consult your doctor. Do not take in case of intolerance to the product. Do not take in case of known hypersensitivity to the components and to Polyethylene glycol. Do not use in children under 6 months. During treatment with PEGinpol it is advisable to follow an adequate diet accompanied by the administration of an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to avoid dehydration; however, it is advisable to consult your doctor. Do not use PEGinpol after the expiry date indicated on the package. Do not take if the sachet is damaged. Keep out of reach of children. In case of adverse reactions, stop using the product and contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately. If you miss a dose, do not take a double dose, but wait and take the next dose.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, in the original packaging. The expiry date indicated refers to the product correctly stored in an intact package.
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.
