Antioxidant, nourishing, chelating, hydrating and lubricating eye drops.
Sterile solution of carboxymethylcellulose and methylsulfonylmethane, transparent, colorless, perfectly miscible with tear fluid: it has pH, viscosity, osmolarity values perfectly compatible with ocular tissues and tear fluid and therefore has a high degree of tolerability. The synergistic combination of its components may represent a new possibility of approach to protection from oxidative damage and prevent ocular aging processes, responsible for the onset of numerous ocular diseases and the decrease in visual quality with advancing age.
Carboxymethylcellulose acts as a viscosifier because it produces a hydrogel that is very compatible with the ocular mucosa, whose rheological characteristics lead to effective and long-lasting bioadhesion on the ocular surface with a beneficial lubricating effect.
The choice of the excipient methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is due to its antioxidant and nourishing effect. MSM also improves the permeability of the cell membrane, promoting the supply of nutrients and vitamins to the eye.
Other nutritional supplements present in the device are: Vitamin A , essential for the development of ocular epithelial tissue and for correct vision, even at night, and Vitamin E , which prevents the oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids essential for cellular metabolism and vitamin A.
How to use
Instill 1-2 drops of solution into the lower conjunctival fornix of the eye, applying light pressure on the body of the vial. It is advisable to repeat the operation 2-4 or more times a day, as needed; do not use with contact lenses worn.
Warnings
Given the absence of quaternary ammonium salts, the device can also be used by soft contact lens wearers after the expiry date indicated on the package, the device must be used within 30 days of first opening the bottle. Keep out of reach of children.
Conservation
Store the bottle below 25°C.
