Description
Octilia Artificial Tears is a sterile solution containing hybrid complexes of high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid capable of replacing and/or integrating the natural functions of the tear film. The hybrid complexes of Octilia Artificial Tears, formed by hyaluronic acid obtained by bio-fermentation, are obtained through a specific patented technology: NAHYCO Hybrid Technology. The hybrid complexes of Octilia Artificial Tears allow not only to administer a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid, but also to guarantee an adequate viscosity of the solution and, therefore, a correct permanence on the ocular surface without any blurring or difficulty in moving the eyelids. Octilia Artificial Tears, moreover, is equipped with an OSD (Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser) dispenser that isolates the solution contained in the bottle and prevents the entry of external microorganisms into the container, thus allowing the formulation of a preservative-free product. Furthermore, the OSD dispenser prevents the Octilia Artificial Tears solution from coming into contact with the outside even during product dispensing, allowing the sterility of the solution to be maintained for the entire duration of use.
Components
High and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (sodium salt), sodium chloride, dibasic sodium phosphate dodecahydrate, monobasic sodium phosphate monohydrate and water for injections.
How to use
Instill 1-2 drops in the lower conjunctival sac of each eye, repeating the administration according to individual need during the day, until the symptom remits. If the symptom persists, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Remove the protective liner on the cap. Remove the cap and open the bottle. Tilt your head back and look at the ceiling. Gently pull down the lower eyelid, turn the container upside down and instill the solution into the eye. Close the treated eye for a few seconds. Replace the cap, applying gentle pressure. After use, dispose of in accordance with current regulations on the disposal of medical waste.
Warnings
Octilia Artificial Tears can be used in conjunction with contact lenses. Do not use Octilia Artificial Tears after the expiry date shown on the package. Do not use Octilia Artificial Tears if the packaging is open or damaged. The product is sterile. When applying the drops, avoid the end of the container coming into contact with the eye or any other surface to avoid any risk of contamination. In some cases, after administration, a brief blurring of vision has been observed due to the density of the solution, which however disappears very quickly. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. External use.
There are currently no known interactions between Octilia Artificial Tears and any concomitant therapies. If the use of Octilia Artificial Tears in association with other solutions is planned, wait 10 minutes between the administration of Octilia Artificial Tears and the other product, to ensure adequate absorption and to prevent dilution between the two. If the administration of an ophthalmic ointment in association with Octilia Artificial Tears is planned, the solution must be instilled first.
There are no known contraindications resulting from the use of Octilia Artificial Tears. Octilia Artificial Tears should not be used in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more of the components.
There are no known contraindications and side effects resulting from the use of Octilia Artificial Tears. However, if you notice the appearance of an unwanted effect, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
Conservation
Store between 0°C and 25°C, away from moisture and heat sources. Do not freeze. Use within 3 months after first opening.
