Assembled kit (KIT) containing 4 medical devices bearing the CE marking (nebial 3% vials, spray-sol nebulizer, cannula needle and Luer-Lock syringe).
The 3% saline solution, contained in the Nebial 3% KIT vials, has a decongestant action on the nasal mucosa as well as a fluidifying effect on the mucus; it is recommended for daily cleaning of the nasal passages especially in case of colds, rhinitis, sinusitis and in all situations of congestion of the nasal mucosa. The hyaluronic acid contained in Nebial 3% vials promotes the humidification of the nasal passages and makes the saline solution more pleasant.
Nebial 3% KIT allows the nebulization of the hypertonic solution of Nebial 3% vials, using the spray-sol medical device (patent under exclusive license of Steve Jones srl).
The 3% hypertonic saline solution, with added hyaluronic acid, contained in the Nebial 3% KIT vials, has a decongestant action on the nasal mucous membranes and has a fluidifying effect on the mucus.
It helps drain secretions and is therefore useful for maintaining clean nasal passages especially in cases of colds, allergic rhinitis, rhinosinusitis and sinusitis.
Spray-sol is a medical device specifically designed to perform topical treatments of the nasal and sinus cavities and allows the rapid administration of solutions through nebulization in particles of size between 10 and 20 microns, suitable for the treatment of the upper airways. Thanks to its specially designed shape, it adapts ergonomically to the child's nostril, but can also be used by adults.
How to use
To use Nebial 3% KIT correctly you need:
- Detach a single-dose vial and warm it between your hands before administering the solution;
- open the bottle by turning the cap, connect it to the syringe included in the package and draw up the solution to be nebulized;
- screw the syringe, filled with the solution, onto the appropriate spray-sol nozzle;
- in infants and small children (under 3 years of age and in any case depending on the level of cooperation) it is necessary to wash in a position lying on one side, keeping the head tilted to one side and delicately inserting spray-sol into the upper nostril. Push vigorously on the syringe piston to nebulize the solution;
- in older children and adults, hold the torso forward with the head slightly tilted to one side and insert spray-sol into the upper nostril. Push on the syringe plunger to nebulize the solution;
- repeat the same operations for the other nostril, trying to divide the solution contained in the syringe equally between the two nostrils; during treatment the nebulized solution may drip from the nose;
- after each use, place the spray-sol nebulizer, syringe, cannula needle and syringe cover elephant in the appropriate container, after having carefully washed and dried them.
It is advisable to respect the following frequency of use:
- Infants: instill a few drops in each nostril, several times a day, generally before feeding or before going to sleep.
- Children and adults: 1-3 washes per nostril, 2-3 times a day.
Components
Sodium chloride, sodium hyaluronate, potassium phosphate dibasic, potassium phosphate monobasic, water.
Contains no preservatives.
Allergens ( gluten, milk or milk products , others).
Warnings
- Nebial 3% solution is not for injection.
- Use the product only for its intended use.
- In children under 6 years of age and in case of concomitant drug therapy, use under medical advice.
- In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use of the product and contact your doctor.
- Do not use in case of known incompatibility or allergy to any component of the preparation.
- If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the product and contact your doctor.
- The use of Nebial 3% vials is not recommended in case of lesions and abrasions of the nasal mucosa or predisposition to nasal bleeding.
- When using the aerosol solution, it is recommended to follow the instructions of the device.
- After use, close the bottle immediately. Do not use if the container is damaged.
- Before each use, check that the syringe, spray-sol and cannula needle devices are not damaged; if they are damaged, do not use them for nebulization.
- Use the spray-sol nebulizer as long as the mechanical integrity and ability to nebulize the solution is maintained. It is recommended not to use the spray-sol and syringe more than 6 months after first use.
- The use of spray-sol by children or non-self-sufficient persons must be supervised by an adult who has read these instructions for use. spray-sol is intended for use by a single patient, but can be used multiple times. It is therefore very important to clean it thoroughly after each use to ensure optimal functioning and a long life. Wash spray-sol under warm running water, possibly adding a drop of neutral soap (not abrasive). Before storing, dry spray-sol with a soft cloth.
- Wash the syringe, needle-cannula and elephant syringe cover under running water and make sure that all the components are completely dry before placing them inside the customizable container.
- Do not use good spray-sol under 3 months of age.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Hypertonic solutions, especially in young children, may cause modest discomfort at the first applications with a sensation of ear stuffiness and burning of the nasal mucosa, and, rarely, epistaxis. Symptoms that regress once therapy is suspended.
The product has shown only one side effect of little importance, described as a cough and a slight burning sensation in the nose.
Tests carried out on the product to date have not highlighted any sensitization phenomena.
The substances contained in Nebial 3% are of proven safety and allow for repeated use.
Conservation
Nebial 3% KIT must be stored away from light and heat sources (do not store the solution in the refrigerator).
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.
Validity after opening: 12 hours.
