Suprasorb X+PHMB
TABLETSAntimicrobial dressing that regulates the release of moisture for wounds with low to medium exudate, infected or at risk of infection. In addition to the properties and benefits of Suprasorb X, equipped with HydroBalance biosynthetic fibres, Suprasorb X + PHMB releases an active ingredient with proven antimicrobial efficacy: 0.3% polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB). PHMB exerts its broad bacterial spectrum action both as a dressing and on the wound surface and effectively destroys microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi and yeasts. Sterile compress, individually packaged.
Even in clinically evident infections, it offers high safety for the operator and good tolerability for the patient. It also offers reliable efficacy against MRSA and VRE. In the context of moist wound treatment, care must be taken to select the appropriate secondary dressing, as Suprasorb X + PHMB remains moist in the wound area.
Indicated for the treatment of lesions:
wounds with light or medium exudate;
superficial or deep wounds;
wounds at risk of infection;
infected wounds;
ulcers of different origins;
2nd degree burns;
donor sites and skin grafts;
post-operative wounds;
abrasions, lacerations.
How to use
Cleanse the wound according to usual standards, then carefully dab the periwound area dry using the sterile compress.
Apply Sla dressing to the wound and shape. If using a swab, fold it several times and apply it to the wound without pressing too hard.
Depending on the degree of exudation, secure with the appropriate bandage.
Dressing change interval: at the discretion of the attending physician based on the condition of the wound, the degree of exudation and any secondary dressing used, but no more than 5-7 days.
Warnings
In case of infections: secondary occlusive dressing only if decided by the medical staff and depending on the general situation.
