Description
LITHOSOLV
Description
Food supplement of alkaline potassium salts of particular help in subjects subjected to an intense loss of liquids, such as heavy sweating, diuresis or diarrhea, or in patients undergoing therapy with drugs such as diuretics, laxatives or cortisone.
LITHOSOLV is also able to correct excessive acid load, which can be directly assessed by measuring urinary pH; this can be easily done using the strips included in the package.
Ingredients
Tribasic potassium citrate.
Nutritional characteristics
How to use
It is recommended to take two tablets per day, unless otherwise indicated by your doctor.
LITHOSOLV should preferably be taken on a full stomach, taking the tablet with a little water.
For different indications (prevention of kidney stones) follow the medical prescription.
USING pH STRIPS
Collect the urine in a container.
With dry hands, remove a strip from the clear pouch and dip it into the urine for 1 second; remove it and allow the excess urine to drip off. The wet side of the strip will change color depending on the pH of the urine.
Within 2 minutes, compare the color of the strip with the color on the reference color scale, included in the package.
Read the value corresponding to the color that is closest to the color on the strip.
Disposable strips should be disposed of in household waste after use.
Note: Any changes in the color of unused strips do not affect their accuracy.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
Supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied diet.
LITHOSOLV is contraindicated in patients with hyperkalemia or hypermagnesemia, or conditions that may predispose to the appearance of such plasma alterations. These conditions include chronic renal failure, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
Concomitant administration of LITHOSOLV and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) may cause hyperkalemia. It is therefore advisable to monitor the progress of potassium levels.
There are no known interactions with other drugs. Rarely, during treatment, mild gastrointestinal disturbances may develop such as: abdominal heaviness, nausea and occasionally diarrhea. The tablet form may be particularly suitable for these subjects.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
Best before date from production date, in intact packaging: 24 months.
Format
Pack of 100 tablets of 1.23 g.
