Description
Lactoyal free is a sterile and isotonic ophthalmic solution containing hyaluronic acid sodium salt (FHA 1.0) and lactobionic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a mucopolysaccharide that is part of many tissues in the body. It has the property of adhering to the mucin layer of the ocular surface, protecting, moistening and lubricating it. Due to its mucoadhesive characteristics, it remains on the surface of the eye for a long time and stabilizes the tear film. Lactobionic acid is a complex polyhydroxy acid consisting of gluconic acid and galactose. This molecule has a high hydrating power and has antioxidant properties. The OSD (Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser) dropper is applied to the Lactoyal free bottle, which, through its absolute filter and valve system, guarantees the maintenance of the sterility of the product without the use of preservatives.
Tear substitute that stabilizes and replenishes the tear film. Useful in cases of alterations of the corneal-conjunctival surface linked to qualitative and quantitative deficiencies of the tear film resulting from inflammatory conditions, imbalance of the oxidation-reduction potential, accumulation of free radicals, mechanical and environmental stress on the ocular surface.
How to use
1-2 drops in the conjunctival sac 2-3 times a day or more, according to medical advice. The product can also be instilled when wearing contact lenses.
Before using for the first time, remove the plastic ring that seals the cap by pulling the side tab. Remove the cap. Turn the bottle upside down over your eye and use your index finger and thumb to apply increasing pressure on the sides until a drop comes out. It is possible that as the solution in the bottle runs out, it may be necessary to apply greater force. Close the bottle with the cap.
Components
Main component: sodium lactobionate 4%, sodium hyaluronate 0.15% (FHA 1.0).
Other ingredients: sodium phosphate monobasic dihydrate, sodium phosphate dibasic dihydrate, water for injections.
Warnings
Contraindicated in case of known hypersensitivity to the components of the product or other closely related chemical substances.
The product is for external ophthalmic use only.
To eliminate the risk of contamination of the solution, do not allow the dropper to come into contact with the eye or other objects.
To avoid damage to the ocular surface, do not allow the dropper to come into contact with the eye during instillation.
As the solution in the bottle gradually runs out, it will be necessary to apply more force to cause the drop to come out.
Close the bottle tightly after use.
In case of concomitant administration of topical ophthalmic drugs, consult your doctor.
Do not use the product if the OSD bottle is damaged.
Keep the preparation out of the sight and reach of children.
No side effects have been reported after using the product. In case of adverse reactions, discontinue use of the product and consult a doctor. After applying the product, a slight and temporary blurring of vision may occur.
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the bottle label.
Do not dispose of in the environment.
