Description
KPHOS
Description
Food supplement containing monobasic phosphate and dibasic potassium phosphate.
The two salts are contained in stoichiometric ratios such as to obtain a neutral potassium phosphate capable of avoiding the alterations in the body's acid-base balance typical of all phosphate salts taken individually.
It is useful for integrating both potassium and phosphorus, in the case of deficiency or increased need for these nutrients.
Ingredients
Maltodextrin, potassium phosphate, flavouring; acidifier: citric acid; colouring: beta-carotene; sweetener: sodium salt of saccharin; anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide (nano).
Gluten free.
Nutritional characteristics
How to use
The KPHOS sachet dissolved in half a glass of water allows you to prepare a pleasant citrus-flavored drink.
It is recommended to take two sachets of KPHOS per day for adequate phosphorus integration.
For different indications (prevention of hypercalciuria) follow the medical prescription.
Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
Supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied diet.
KPHOS is contraindicated in patients with hyperkalemia, or conditions that may predispose to the appearance of such plasma alteration. These conditions include chronic renal failure, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
Concomitant administration of KPHOS and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) may cause hyperkalemia. It is therefore advisable to monitor the progress of potassium levels.
No interactions with other drugs are known.
Rarely, mild gastrointestinal disturbances may develop during treatment, such as abdominal heaviness, nausea and occasionally diarrhoea.
Conservation
Best before date from production date, in intact packaging: 24 months.
Format
Pack of 30 sachets of 3 g each.
