Food for special medical purposes. KetoCal 3:1 is a nutritionally complete powder formulation that is tasteless, high in fat and low in carbohydrates. It contains a blend of oils, milk proteins, amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Fat to (carbohydrate + protein) ratio of 3:1.
Ingredients
Vegetable oils (palm oil, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil), milk proteins (casein, whey protein), lactose (from cow's milk ), glucose syrup, tricalcium phosphate, potassium citrate, potassium chloride, calcium hydrogen phosphate, choline bitartrate, glycine, oil extracted from Mortierella alpina, oil extracted from Crypthecodinium cohnii, magnesium chloride, L-cysteine, L-leucine, sodium caseinate (from cow's milk ), L-tryptophan, inositol, magnesium acetate, L-valine, sodium L-ascorbate, L-carnitine, taurine, ferrous sulphate, zinc sulphate; emulsifier: mono and diglycerides of fatty acids; calcium D-pantothenate, nicotinamide, DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, copper sulfate, thiamine hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin, retinyl acetate, manganese sulfate; antioxidants: DL-alpha-tocopherol, ascorbyl palmitate; chromium chloride, folic acid, potassium iodide, sodium molybdate, sodium selenite, cholecalciferol, D-biotin, cyanocobalamin.

How to use
For enteral use only. The recommended dilution is 9.3% w/v (e.g. 9.3 g of product in 90 ml of water to a final volume of 100 ml). A higher dilution may be prescribed by the treating physician based on individual needs. To ensure that this high-fat food is well tolerated, when starting the ketogenic diet, it is recommended to initially administer a small volume at the lowest concentration. Ensure that adequate fluid intake is ensured.
Warnings
For use only under medical supervision. Do not use parenterally. Indicated as the sole source of nutrition for infants and young children up to 3 years of age or as a dietary supplement for infants and children over 3 years of age. Monitor for hypoglycemia, kidney stones, hyperlipidemia and inadequate growth. The powdered product is not sterile. The product must be prepared immediately before administration. Do not boil or use a microwave oven to heat. Good oral hygiene is important for infants and children because prolonged or frequent contact with food and drinks increases the risk of dental caries. Make sure your child's teeth are cleaned after the last night's meal. Ask your dentist for more information.
Conservation
Store in a dry place away from heat sources.
Close the package tightly after use. Once opened, use the product within 1 month.
The powdered formula is not sterile so it is recommended, where possible, to prepare it immediately before administration and to consume it within 1 hour.
If preparing in advance, refrigerate quickly at 2 to 4°C and consume within 24 hours.
Do not use the product after 24 hours from preparation.
