Description
Kaloidon is an advanced gel formulation which, thanks to its components, helps improve the appearance of scars (hypertrophic scars, skin thickening and/or keloids) secondary to surgical interventions or to various types of harmful insults.
The extract* of Allium cepa (onion), with a high content of quercetin and its glucosides (in a guaranteed quantity greater than 10%), promotes the correct healing process, as well as reducing redness and itching of the tissue in formation. The presence of allantoin contributes to the soothing effect, while low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate support skin hydration and elasticity.
The phytogenic effect is guaranteed by pullulan gel, a complex sugar of vegetal origin that, in addition to maintaining physiological hydration of the scar tissue, stimulates skin renewal.
Kaloidon, moreover, due to its formulation characteristics, facilitates an optimal massage of the scar. From the first stages after the removal of the stitches, it is important, in fact, to massage the scar daily to keep the tissues elastic, stimulate blood circulation and avoid the formation of adhesions with the underlying tissues, which can negatively influence the functionality of the affected area.
How to use
It is recommended to massage the skin with the movements shown below:
1. perform circular movements both on and around the scar;
2. slide your fingers parallel to the scar line in both directions;
3. Move your fingers in a zigzag motion along the scar.
In the presence of particularly hardened tissues, continue the massage for about 15 minutes, repeating the various steps 4-5 times. On very thickened scars, Kaloidon can also be used as a compress.
Kaloidon should be used after the removal of stitches on intact skin. Apply on clean and dry skin, two or more times a day, an amount of product adequate for the area to be treated and massage until completely absorbed.
It is recommended to use Kaloidon continuously for at least 2 months on newly formed scars; on already developed scars and keloids, the application can be extended up to 3-6 months.

Aqua, propylene glycol, pullulan, triethanolamine, alcohol, Allium cepa bulb extract, phenoxyethanol, carbomer, allantoin, sodium benzoate, glycosaminoglycans, tetrasodium EDTA, benzoic acid, sodium hyaluronate, dehydroacetic acid.
Warnings
The use of the product is contraindicated in case of known hypersensitivity to the components. For external use. Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the package is damaged (in the absence of the aluminum seal placed on the opening of the tube).
Kaloidon is a transparent gel of dark amber color, any differences in shade are attributable to the natural origin of the onion extract.
Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
