RECTAL GEL
DescriptionMedical device with a predominantly protective action on the rectal mucosa. It is indicated in actinic proctitis due to radiotherapy treatment of the pelvic area and in proctitis during chemotherapy or combined treatments (radio and chemotherapy).
Fluid gel in the form of single-dose tubes based on hyaluronic acid, the main component of connective tissue, and amino acids designed to promote collagen formation, usable as an adjuvant in the process of repairing the rectal mucosa and the anal canal, and in the painful symptoms caused by neurological damage in proctitis caused by radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy for pelvic tumors.
It creates a protective layer on the erythematous or ulcerated mucosa characterized by burning pain of varying intensity, decreases the painful symptoms with a rapid reduction of burning and pain. The acid and amino acids also promote a regenerative stimulus of the collagen and epithelial tissue and, consequently, that of the mucous membranes.
It can be easily applied in adequate dosage for rectal mucositis and for maintaining mucosal trophism in order to avoid relapses and prevent their onset.
How to use
It is advisable to use one tube once or more times a day depending on the severity of the symptoms or according to medical advice.
Before applying the product, thoroughly clean the affected area. Remove the cap located at the end of the applicator, gently insert the applicator and press the tube to dispense the gel. If necessary, before introducing the applicator, take a small portion of gel and lubricate the applicator to facilitate its entry, reducing possible soreness in the area. Then insert the applicator and apply force to the tube, spreading the entire content of gel evenly; the tube is single-dose.
