Description
Patented, transparent, self-drying silicone gel for the treatment of scars. It dries quickly to form a flexible, waterproof film that creates a protective barrier against chemical, physical, and microbial agents, while also helping to hydrate the skin.
This gel creates an environment that promotes scar maturation by normalizing collagen synthesis and improving the aesthetic appearance of the scar.
Additionally, it helps protect scars from the damaging effects of the sun, preventing sun-induced redness and hyperpigmentation, while improving the overall appearance of the scar.
It is recommended to further protect scars with sunscreen, to be applied every two hours during sun exposure. Infants and young children should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
KELO-COTE UV is indicated for the treatment and prevention of hypertrophic and keloid scars resulting from trauma, accidental wounds, surgery and burns.
It is suitable for face and body.
KELO-COTE UV can be used on joints, in creases and on hairy areas and large scars such as those caused by burns or major trauma.
KELO-COTE UV is suitable for use on children over 3 months of age.
Clinically tested.
How to use
Make sure the affected area is clean and dry. Cut the applicator tip with clean scissors before applying. Apply a thin, even layer, using a clean finger, twice daily.
KELO-COTE UV should be applied daily, 30 minutes before first exposure to the sun. Additionally, sunscreen should be applied at least every 2 hours. For maximum effect, KELO-COTE UV should remain in contact with the skin for 24 hours. Once the gel has dried, sunscreen or other cosmetics can be applied to the affected area. Close the cap after use.
If KELO-COTE UV is not dry within 4-5 minutes, you may have used too much. Gently wipe off the excess and allow the drying process to continue.
The minimum recommended treatment time is 60-90 days. Larger and older scars may require more time and if scar improvement is visible, it is recommended to extend the use of the product after the first 90 days of application.

Warnings

Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the components of KELO-COTE UV.
Avoid direct contact with eyes, mucous membranes, third-degree burns and open wounds.
KELO-COTE UV should not be used in dermatological conditions that compromise the integrity of the skin.
If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
KELO-COTE UV may stain clothing if not completely dry.
Keep away from heat sources and do not smoke when applying the product or while the product is drying.
Keep out of reach of children.
Conservation
Store below 25°C.
Do not use after the expiry date (EXP) shown on the package.
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.
