PharmaCup
Description
Safe, eco-friendly and practical menstrual cup alternative to traditional internal pads. Respects the body and the environment because it is hypoallergenic and reusable. Very economical compared to traditional tampons and very easy to use on any occasion, both day and night, while traveling or doing sports. Made of soft 100% platinum medical silicone, instead of absorbing the menstrual flow, it collects it respecting the natural balance of the body.
It contains no latex, phthalates, substances of animal origin (BSE-TSE), dyes, perfumes or dangerous chemicals.
Small cup suitable for those under 30 who have never had children, unless the birth was by caesarean.
Large cup suitable for those over 30 who have had children through natural birth.
How to use
Before any operation, always wash your hands thoroughly. Check the FarmaCup both visually and by touch, paying attention to the small holes on the widest circumference, which are essential to facilitate extraction and unblock the "seal" effect; it is therefore important that they are always free. If necessary, remove any obstruction by passing a small needle through them. Sterilize the FarmaCup by immersing it in water and boiling it for at least 5-7 minutes. Make sure you have completely immersed the cup in the water; this will prevent it from being damaged. Sterilization must be carried out at the beginning of each cycle.
After checking and cleaning, you can proceed with inserting the FarmaCup; this operation is easy: if you are relaxed it will be even easier. For the first few times, it may be necessary to practice a little in order to find the most suitable position, both to insert it and to remove it, a practice that is recommended to do at the beginning during the last two days of the cycle when the flow is less abundant. To insert it, especially for very young women, it may be necessary to use a water-based lubricant or insert it taking care to wet it with water. The correct positioning is lower than a normal internal tampon.
To insert, wash your hands with a neutral soap and fold the FarmaCup in half vertically, as if you were to form a “U”, holding it between your thumb and forefinger. With the other hand, gently spread the labia majora and insert the cup folded into a “U” shape into the vagina. It must be inserted so that it stops about one phalanx from the outside. Finally, check with your fingers that FarmaCup is adherent to the walls of the vagina.
For easy extraction, assume a comfortable position, possibly squatting and that allows the abdominal muscles to relax. Wash your hands with a neutral soap and insert your index finger and thumb into the vagina, pressing the cup at the base or, if necessary, insert a finger along the external wall using the stem or by contracting and releasing the vaginal muscles that can hold the cup. First let one edge come out and then the other, tilting the two opposite sides of the FarmaCup cup alternately. You may hear a noise as the cup detaches from the vaginal walls: this is the "seal or vacuum" effect that must be unlocked before removing it. If you notice that the cup is resisting, do not be alarmed but continue to relax. If the vaginal muscles are tense they will hold it further; there is no danger of the cup getting "lost" inside. Then remove the cup delicately by tilting it slightly; this will allow you to remove it easily without accidentally spilling the contents. Finally, empty the cup into the toilet and, once thoroughly rinsed, it can be reinserted.
Warnings
Remember to empty, rinse and reinsert the FarmaCup every 4/8 hours, according to the flow. To clean the cup, in addition to boiling it, you can also immerse it in a 5% sodium hypochlorite solution (following the instructions provided by the manufacturer of this solution) and not exceeding the immersion time which is normally about 10 minutes. Do not use aggressive products that can damage the cup and cause irritation, in particular corrosive products, essential oils and perfumed soaps. Do not put the FarmaCup in the dishwasher.
It is not a contraceptive method and does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.
If you feel burning or pain when urinating, remove the cup immediately.
If you have gynecological problems, consult your doctor before using FarmaCup.
The cup should be removed before each sexual intercourse but it is not necessary to remove it for urination or defecation.
Do not lend or exchange your FarmaCup with anyone.
Keep FarmaCup away from pets.
Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is an extremely serious disease caused by a bacterial toxin related to Staphylococcus Aureus. TSS is often associated with the use of traditional sanitary napkins. Its symptoms are similar to those of the flu and include: sudden high fever (> 39°C), muscle pain, vomiting, headache, diarrhea, dizziness, fainting, skin rashes similar to erythema or sunstroke. If you experience any of these symptoms, remove FarmaCup and consult a doctor immediately.
If you have previously suffered from TSS, consult your doctor before using the FarmaCup cup.
The stem should not cause any discomfort and it is important that it does not protrude from the vagina. If it is too long for your body, it can be shortened so that it only reaches the edge, taking care to round off any sharp edges that may be created as a result of the cut. The stem should be shortened only after having determined with certainty that it is too long, therefore after having used the cup several times. In the event that the stem needs to be completely cut, it is possible to do so but only if you are sure that you can extract it even without its help. The first clue that helps to realize that the stem needs to be cut is given by the discomfort that you may have when sitting or walking. Cut a small piece at a time and test the length to avoid cutting the stem too short.
If your FarmaCup is positioned correctly, there will be no leaks. If it does, it may be due to its position, stem, adhesion, or size.
