Description
SpeediCath
Compact Set Women
Description
Sterile, disposable, self-lubricating bladder catheter for intermittent catheterization.
The catheter already immersed in sterile saline solution to activate the lubricating coating.
Ready to use, it is inserted in a graduated integral collection bag with a capacity of 750 ml.
Its use is indicated in cases of urinary retention. It is particularly suitable for emptying the bladder in patients who are unable to urinate spontaneously and need to empty the bladder, especially outside the home and/or in a wheelchair.
Particularly suitable for people who lead an active life, who work or study.
The use of the catheter is simple and atraumatic, therefore also indicated for those who have a permanent need to use this type of aid.
Sterilized by electron beam irrigation.
Contains no latex, PVC or phthalates.
The SpeediCath catheter line features internally lubricated and beveled holes. This feature makes the catheter gentle on the urethral mucosa.
It is the only self-lubricating catheter that is already immersed in saline solution.
This system is designed to speed up the preparation of the catheter and to keep it lubricated for a long time.
The compact and discreet package has an ergonomic shape that is easy to open. Simply unscrew the cap from the body, following the symbols printed on the package.
The package can be resealed once the catheter has been used and the bag emptied.
Once the catheter is removed, the lubricating liquid does not come out of the package, even if it is turned upside down. The connector is connected to the bag thanks to a valve that prevents any constriction of the bag, due to the weight of the urine.
The bag has a capacity of 750 ml. It is graduated and has an easy opening point to allow urine emptying.
Components
The catheter is made of PU Polyurethane.
The hydrophilic coating is made of PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone) and urea.
The liquid in which the catheter is immersed is 0.9% sterile saline solution, with the addition of 6% PVP.
Warnings
Not indicated in those patients with a medical evaluation unsuitable for treatment.
Single-use product: do not reuse.
It does not contain ecotoxic compounds, therefore it does not require special disposal protocols. Do not dispose of in the environment as it is not biodegradable.
Conservation
Store in a dry place, at room temperature and away from direct sunlight. Exposure to extreme temperatures for up to 24 hours will not cause damage to the catheter.
