Description
UV radiation is a major factor in the development of actinic keratosis and skin cancer. Actinic keratosis appears as scaly, crusted, or thick lesions on areas of the skin most frequently exposed to sunlight, such as the face (including the hairline and scalp), ears, neck, arms, and hands. Individuals with fair skin (skin types I-II) are most at risk. Actinic keratosis lesions are precancerous and indicate damage to the skin's DNA as well as an increased risk of non-melanoma skin cancer.
- It combats sunburn and intolerances.
- Counteracts pigmentation spots caused by the sun.
- Helps protect skin from photo-aging
Anthelios 100 KA+ Med Cream is used for the prevention of actinic keratosis (AK) and non-melatoma skin cancer (NMSC), as well as for the reduction of the skin cancerization field as part of a broader treatment cycle. The formula offers very high and broad-spectrum protection from UVA and UVB rays thanks to a patented and photostable filter system that includes Mexoryl. It also offers protection against the development of cancerous (excluding melanoma) and pre-cancerous actinic lesions, and from sun-induced DNA damage in patients with very sun-sensitive skin at risk of actinic keratosis (phototypes I-I1) or under immunosuppressive therapy. The hydrating formula, with DNA REPAIR TECH technology, is enriched with NIACINAMIDE and PANTHENOL. Helps protect the skin barrier. Helps repair DNA damage by blocking UV rays. Non-comedogenic. Leaves no white marks.
